Addictions 3

My most favorite, favoritest breakfast in the whole wide world: homemade, flaky biscuits.

Hands down, no question.

I have a small obsession with bread. Desert island, all alone, choice of survival food? Hot bread with butter and ice cold milk!
(more on milk in another edition of addictions)

The crumbly texture outside, the steamy, soft inside, the way it falls apart in my mouth. Oh my! These particular biscuits blow my mind. Slightly salty, extremely light, pure perfection. The more lopsided, the better they taste.

Look at it, it is practically inviting you to crawl inside its cozy blanket of fluffy bliss.

And don't even get me started on how good it tastes with real butter and fresh, homemade raspberry jam. Now, this is heaven. I would invite you over but I already ate them all.

I suggest you try this right now. They are extremely fast and easy!!

FAST BISCUITS

2 cups flour

4 teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon cream of tartar

1 cup or less cream

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Mix together first 4 ingredients. Then add cream. Mix, cut into circles and cook at 425 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Makes 10-12 biscuits.
