Copied from a 1950's textbook, this is what they taught girls back then. I have highlighted my very favorite parts just so you know at what points smoke starts coming out of my ears.

I just might have to use this in my women's conference talk next week!
I have heard that this is made up but I don't know, I've seen a few different versions. If it's real it seems to me like it's written by someone very afraid that her husband will cheat on her or leave her.
All the ridiculousness aside, what I think find interesting is the assumption that this is what all men want. Especially the parts about a low pleasing voice, offering to take off his shoes and keep the kids quiet... what if he wants a bouncy, energetic wife or someone feisty to discuss what he just heard on NPR, and wants to wrestle on the floor with his loud, dirty kids?
I loved number 6 "Have a cool warm drink ready". Well, which one is it? Cool or warm? I am so confused!!!!

LOL... I am sure all men around the world would nod as we all vomit. This is why men have felt so coddled for the last 60 years... well, it's time we all put an end to it and had them a dish and a sponge when the get home :) Welcome to Daddy-hood... the fun never stops until kids grow up :) (And not even then...)
You've got to read the book Fascinating Womanhood. It was a standard back then and very popular in the church...and definitely not made up.
