As yesterday wore on and I racked up, 4 then 5 then 6 straight hours in front of the computer starting my new couponing blog, it wasn't until the kids were already asleep in their beds before I realized that I had missed out on them. I had terrible feelings of guilt and the fact that I wasn't a very good mom yesterday, really ate at me. I wrote them each a letter last night and left it for them to find. I promised myself that I would not turn on the tv or computer all day and devote every minute to being with them. I was really glad when I woke up this morning and had another chance to make motherhood right in this house.
So, this is what we did.
For breakfast we had cereal, fresh strawberries, yogurt and toast.
Then we put together a puzzle.

Then we colored a juicy juice wrapper.

Then we raced cars down blankets on the stairs.

Then we played school.

Then we had "recess" and the kids threw rocks in the little pool.

Then we made play-dough cookies (really cookie dough.)

Then we had lunch.
Then they took a bath.
Then we went to the library and played computer games and checked out books.
(No flash in the library.)

Then we went to Home Depot and picked out flowers.

Then we went to Goodwill and picked out a mug to plant our flowers in and rode the mechanical horse.

Then we came home and potted the flowers.

Then I forced them to eat their dinner of cheese sauce on baked potatoes. Oh, the horror!

I hope they had a good day. It is exhausting being a kid!

Looks like a super fun day! I'll send my kids over for the next one that you do - I'm sure they'll love it! I'm excited to check out your couponing blog!
Sounds like the best day ever! I want one :)
I love the idea of the flowers in the mugs. Good for you! I find it hard enough to devote an entire hour to playing with Carver - a whole day! Wow!!
Lucky little people :)
