I am sure you have all seen the ridiculously stupid infomercials on tv for the Snuggie, which is pretty much a backwards robe, right? (For those who haven't seen it, click on the link...it is worth the laugh.)
Well, my dearest Eden, knowing that her birthday was right around the corner, found great excitement in this product and has not stopped asking for one for the past 2 months. She has even written letters to neighbors with the 1-800 number included so that they would know what to get her for her birthday.
It is hard to crush her dreams but seriously? I bet the quality is no better than those airline kleenex they call blankets and since it is one size fits all, it would surely be horrendously cumbersome.
Well, I just couldn't fork over my precious $19.99 for it so we headed to JoAnn's to pick out some fabric. Of course, I was a smart mom and knew that if I made one for Eden, the other two would want one too...so $17.00 later and a few runs through the sewing machine, the kids have their very own potato sack blankets...also referred to as the Snuggie.
All the kids think it is pretty cool that they can just jump into bed and be ready to sleep. None of that hard work pulling the covers up...it's seriously overrated.
Who knew?

Laugh out loud! That rocks my world! P.S. Thanks. I like the look too.
We have a snuggie in our world too. Reid bought Doug one for his birthday and then claimed it was from Christie... classic. Needless to say if i ever want to read a book and wear a blanket.. I CAN!
