My first child had her 6th birthday yesterday on Pi Day. March 14, 2003, Eden Rayne Atwood was born in Medford, Oregon and she gets more and more beautiful everyday.
She and I enjoyed a quick trip to Toys R Us for Barbie's 50th Birthday celebration or should I say lame'obration. It was a card table set up with a plastic pink tablecloth and a few pages for coloring. Talk about a real downer. She did get a balloon on the way out because it was actually her birthday and her name announced over the PA system. She loved that they knew her name. We then visited the party store and let her pick out her own party plates and napkins as well as a few things for St. Patrick's Day at school on Tuesday.
We made a quick visit with Gramma Boo Boo (Rob's mom) since she was staying at a hotel in the area and took her some tea for her headache. We then rushed home so I could finish decorating her lemon cake with a strawberry on top.
Eden requested Chuck E Cheese's for her evening entertainment and we braved the 20 minute wait to get in the door. We gave her the option of giving up and coming back Monday when it would be quiet but she was sure she would wait...and wait they did, very patiently I might add. We bought 100 tokens and played to our hearts content. (Especially Olivia, she was determined not to be "too small" for anything.)
We then rushed home for cake and presents in front of the webcam so more grandparents could enjoy the screaming good time. Gramma Boo Boo also joined us and we all had some good laughs doing stupid stuffed animal tricks on the webcam. Eden made out with a real haul and there are still wrapping paper remains all over the house today.
Happy Birthday my "pretty" girl. (There is no sound so don't turn up your volume.)
