Couldn't be more proud of my little girl...my oldest...my peacemaker. When we decided to go to Snoqualmie Railroad Days, I didn't know that they had a 1k race for kids until the day before. Since Eden had run a mile with me, I knew she could tackle this no problem. I knew she would just beam with pride in accomplishing this so I entered her in the race. The little dear thought that she was the first to sign up since her race number said #1. She was soooo excited and since they encouraged parents to run with their children, I ran too. Let me tell you...she smoked me. She let that adrenaline kick in early and she weaved in and out of the runners while I got stuck back and that is where I stayed the whole time...20 feet behind. I never did catch up even though I kind of tried. She ran and never looked back for her dear old mom. I smiled the whole time watching her little legs push her over the finish line.

Just look at that little face!! She didn't know she was going to get a medal and when she did, you would have thought she had won the moon. She holds that medal pretty close to her heart. I even bought her a race shirt later to wear as a momento. She was really excited about that too and exclaimed that it was the best day ever!! I hope she grasps onto that runners high because this might be something she would enjoy throughout her life. Who knows?
There she goes...

Here she comes...

Here we are...I can see this being a tradition. Do you see how my face is red and she hasn't changed colors at all? Kids and their natural energy, sheesh!

There she is...

What a champ and her quote of the day..."I ran the whole way and I didn't whine once!"

Watching the parade later.

They all got one treat and cotton candy was Indy's rot-your-teeth-out choice.

He just adores his little girl. Always calls her beautiful.
