I am 100% convinced that this:

is the sole reason people are chronically late.

Here you are, cruising at a comfortable 60 mph and then Mr. Huge Truck thinks he is deserving of pulling out in front of you to pass Mr. Log Truck at a soaring 23 mph on a 6% incline. Do they wait until they see a vehicle in their rear view mirror to do this as a joke? I am pretty sure they are on their CB's:

Mr. Huge Truck: breaker, breaker I gotta grocery getter comin' up hot.

Mr. Log Truck: affirmative...kick it in.

Mr. Huge Truck: pass as molasses then put the hammer down on the decline.
Mr. Log Truck: 10-4 good buddy.

Mr. Huge Truck: roger.
