Camping in the Backyard

Due to the local Fisherman's Derby going on in town, the kids caught the spirit of camping and have not stopped talking about it since last week. We decided to buy a 3 man tent and set it up in the backyard to camp out last night. Unfortunetly, we had such a nice day that it gave way to clear nigh skies and very cold temperatures. The kids helped Rob set up the tent while I took pictures. They then loaded it full of every blanket in the house. Rob, Eden and Indy slept there that night while Olivia and I braved the heated indoors in our own beds. Don't feel sorry for me, it had to be done. They did great aside from my worries that they would die of exposure. I even dreamed that night that a tsunami was coming and I felt so helpless since Rob was no where to be found...typical. We all made away from the water in the end and the kids slept all night toasty and safe. They loved it.

What a good dad. It's nice to have a spouse that likes to do those "fun" things. I'd do it if I HAD to but mu bed is way to comfortable!!
