Swimming at the Federal Way Aquatic Center

We learned all about the Federal Way Community Center and their indoor pool area. I surprised Rob and the kids by secretly packing up all their swimming suits and floatation devices and drove to the pool. It was a really nice facility with a toddler play structure, a basketball pool, a water slide and a lazy river for floating with the current. Eden dove right in, Olivia cried for awhile and then really got into it and then there was Indy. He decided to pitch a fit and sit on the bleachers for 45 minutes before he warmed up to the idea of getting wet. Olivia has this high pitched screach that she does when she is frustrated, happy, sad or mad and she could be heard above the splashing throughout the whole facility. It is deafening. We had a pretty good time but those kids wore us out. The saddest thing was the fact that both Indy and Eden wanted to go on the scary waterslide sooooooo bad and even climbed the stairs all the way to the top without coaxing only to be turned down due to height requirements. They were very disappointed. The slide appealed to them but they wouldn't go near the mini fountains...go figure.

It looks like you still had a good time, even with the a little disappointment. We've got some great swim centers here, we should go more!
