I am feeling a little overwhelmed with the daunting task of posting all the info about our 2-week vacation so that is why it is taking me so long. I am completely against boring you all with the details but that is where the fun stories lie. I am not really sure where to start and how to go about it without causing everyone to drift off so I thought a little ditty that rhymes might help.
At the end of June we packed up the car,
Loaded to the hilt, we had plans to go far.
Our first stop was gas and boy what a sight,
We drove 2 more hours and the weather was fair.
We set up camp then to the beach we went down.
The boys got to diggin, the air was cool and still,
What to do with a hole, with what could we fill?
A lone telephone pole, sat a ways down the beach,
They rolled it 50 yards, to the hole they did reach.
Hoisting and pushing, it was NO small feat,
Several ropes did break, our laughs it did meet.
The pole finally stood, they hoped never to fall,
The men were so proud, a point? Not at all.
The kids loved the waves, then got cold real fast,
Back to the yurts, we hit our beds at last.
Lots of park play and landing on our butts.
We watched Jace blow some glass with the glass man,
We stopped to take pics with our kids and our spouses.
One lighthouse tells of a haunting inside,
We didn't mind, it made for an interesting ride.
The next day we left for Salem's Silver Falls State Park,
We stayed in a lodge with bunk beds until dark.
We then stayed up all night playing games and ate sweets,
My allergies were in full swing, boy was that a treat.
Uncles and Aunts and at cousins we starred.
We ran and we played, we caught up on tales,
Then our famous horse shoe tournament, it never fails.
We play jeopardy and games and ate 'til we burst,
We had fresh soft serve ice cream, that was a first.
A flag ceremony was had and Chad played some Tapps.
We played so dang hard, most of us took naps.
We had one last event, our traditional raffle.
We won a quilt, and a pic of the generation of seven,
It was a fun reunion, our next one is 2011.
The kids and I left to Etna, for two weeks to roam.
We relaxed and did nothing and it felt finally nice,
It turned out to be super hot and all we wanted was ice.
While we were there, Eden learned the piano to play,
Indy had his birthday on July 10, he's 4!!
We had a cake that was a backhoe with a front loader.
He got presents and hot dogs and a few extra friends,
He got lots of fun things, he didn't want the day to end.
I left half way through to go to a dentist in Dunsmuir,
A second opinion is why I went, major problems I do fear.
He found nothing to worry, but said I would not die,
At least I know, I am not alone,
Someone else is confused, about what's going on.
One night we did something, different for once, .jpg)
We went to the graveyard, and went for a hunt.
Someone who died on a certain sad day,
Or maybe a fresh one, the newest to lay.
We divided in teams and split into zones,
We all rubbed with crayons, and pondered the stones.
It was different and crazy, but an interesting game,
We all went home eager to compare our rubbed names.
One day donned a haircut by Grandpa T,.jpg)
An accidentally gauge was as funny as can be.
The next day was Sunday, we ate a big meal,
We then had soft serve, pure love we did feel.

On Monday we left, to home we did head,
Stopping in Medford to stock up on some bread.
We said our goodbyes for our vacation was sweet.
We then drove to Portland for an overnight sleep.
In Portland we stayed at Grandma Boo Boo’s to rest,
Rachel went crazy and cleaned to her best.
We finally came home, our journey was nice.
Vacation is fun, but being home will suffice.

The cake is so cute! Did you make it? Very creative poetry. Good job! Everything sounds way fun. I like the cemetery game idea.
