Well, here we are, half way through vacation and finally back into real beds and warm showers after the coast and reunion. I don't know if I want to take the time while in California to sit and catch up on the blog so I thought I would add a couple of pictures for all you desperate people. I know you can hardly breathe in anticipation so here it goes. Breathe out.
We left Sunday and were packed to the gils.

Spent 3 days at the coast.
And for some reason found this project fascinating. The men dug a hole, found a washed up telephone pole about 100 ft down the beach, rolled this 1000lb log over to the hole and hoisted it up. It was quite the ordeal, let me tell you. We had some good laughs and broke a few ropes but after a good hour and a half, had it straight up and down. The guys were pretty proud of their bruised and sore muscles.
We also visited 2 lighthouses on the Oregon coast including this one, the haunted Yaquina Head Lighthouse.
We then made our way over to Silver Falls, Oregon just east of Salem. It was amazingly beautiful. Our family reunion was a blast and we all slept in bunkbeds which was NOT amazing. The outdoors there sent my allergies into a frenzy and I spent two days going through 2 boxes of kleenex and laying on picnic tables for relief. We played our traditional horseshoe tournament, stayed up late with Uno Attack and had wonderful flag ceremonies, just to be brief. We ate too much, stayed up too late and had too much fun. I will fill you all in soon. This picture is just of my immediate family. My parents, siblings and their spouses and offspring.

Sounds way fun! That's a great family picture!
Rachel!! So fun to find your blog and catch up on all of the latest happenings with your family. I love the pic of your family at the reunion - so fun to see everybody. When did we all grow up?? Craziness!! Your kids are too cute!
Post some more reunion pcitres if you have them!! We feel like schmucks for not being there but we thought about everyone. The pole picture is too funny. Your family getting big, when did everyone grow up? I can't believe Jace is 12, Chad's a dad and Kate's gonna have a baby and you're almost 30. I'm getting old!
