Some "Ah ha" Moments

I get mad when I am out done by common sense. The 'duh' moments.

Magic, unexplained phenomenon and then there's my dad. He is particularly good about thinking on his feet. He makes even the biggest obstacles seem trivial. He steps back, gives it a second thought and then solves the problem and everyone around is left in awe at his solution.

It makes me mad. Not angry mad, just jealous or embarrassed mad. I don't like to be played the fool. So when I found this magazine at a garage sale for 25¢ last summer, I melted into a pool of astonishment exclaiming, "Why didn't I think of that?"

Although, I am sure my dad would have. :)

Here are some of my absolute favorite forehead slapping moments:

I love that kids could help with this one, no knives.

All this time I have been using a pencil and scissors.

This works hecka good for pie crusts and biscuits, I've tried!

No more piles of flour dumped on accident.

I know you have seen me use this technique. It works like a charm. Just make sure you don't use your nice pan. Go to goodwill and get yourself a cheap pan strictly for corn cuttin'.

I like eating these plain as a no carb "ice cream" treat.

Also try this with pureed strawberries to throw in lemonade. Cools and changes it to strawberry lemonade without watering it down.

Similar to the cocoa coating idea above.

No go ahead and go take a nap before your head explodes!
