I Need a Nap

This whole past week she has been a wreck of nerves. She has been worried about missing the bus, not knowing bus numbers and getting lost. This morning, she bawled like a baby when the bus rounded the corner and she is exhausted from her first day. Oh, but if you want to know about Eden, she didn't have a single problem.

Yes, I was talking about myself. My first-born baby started her first day of Kindergarten today and I have been a mess since that bus arrived. I don't know how long this is going to continue. Hopefully by November I will be able to keep my tears in check at the bus stop. I would hate for Eden to be embarressed when she is 15 and her mother is still blubbering as the bus pulls away.

Our neighbor insisted that she take our picture (she knew I would want it later). Please ignore the mess I am. I knew wearing mascara would prove to be a bad idea later so I went without.
I am so proud...aren't all moms? She loves it and handled it like an old pro.

The whole group of us waiting for the bus. Olivia put out the most tears because she couldn't go on the bus. She will be my "Eden" when it is her turn. She has no fear. I hope to put Indy in next year but he is a little more hesitant about things like that.

I just went and picked her up at 12:08 from the bus stop and it was a little surreal to be the mom standing there for once. And yes, I was one of those geeky moms taking pictures of everything.

Getting on the bus...8:50am

Getting off the bus...12:08pm

Glowing from her first day of school!

I understand and feel your pain. I was very sad to see my oldest leave the house. I think the hard part is realizing they need us less each day. Wait until 1st grade when they go all day long! Good luck Rach, you have at least 2 more to go:)
