Eden and I went in for her 5 year check up two months late today and she had to have 4 shots for Kindergarten. Her eyes are healthy, her ears are healthy and she is growing strong. She weighs 48 pounds and is 45 1/2 inches tall. She was so willing and happy to oblige through all the breathing, checking and poking until after her first shot when she realized it hurt. It was a bawl-fest until after the 4th shot but she is done until she turns 12. She was a real trooper but I felt so sad for her, I even shed a tear.
Even with all the crappy dental work I have had, I would gladly go a hundred times so that she never has to. It is 10 times harder to watch your child go through something instead of taking it yourself.
I treated her to Dora Fruit Snacks and a 88 cent flute from Wal-Mart afterward even though she was fine before we even got off the elevator from the pediatrician's office. She has always been a healthy and tough little girl and the day she was born will always be my favorite memory.

When Adam got his kindergarten shots it was terrible. He screamed bloody murder. I had to help the nurse hold him down and both the girls, Adam, and me left there crying. Luckily since then the kids haven't had a hard time with shots! Thank goodness!
I remember when Eden was that little. Callie jusr got shots yesterday and cried when they poked her the 3rd time. She just kept looking around like what's going on. All my other kids start crying as soon as they see the needle before they're even poked!
