Someone once said that when the sunshine comes out in Seattle, there is nothing more beautiful. Today, I understood that. Today was INCREDIBLE! The breeze was cool, the sun was warm and the grass was soft. We played with foam blocks underneath the umbrellas, dug trenches in our neighbors yard, played on the little tikes play structure, ate, sat, picnicked. We layed in the grass, rode bikes, played in the dirt and hunted for worms. There were a few downsides though. Everybody was greased up with sunscreen till we looked like we hadn't showered in weeks. There were smashed fingers and our neighbor has a bad case of strep throat and Olivia snuck a sip of her diet coke when we weren't looking. Everyone keep Olivia in your prayers. I don't want her sick with strep because then she will pass it onto me and I am the only one in the family without insurance. Yikes!!

Our beautiful Japanese Maple is in full bloom and the rhodedendruns are about to bloom. Our neighbors lilacs waft spring scents into our yard sometimes and some of us got a little too much sun because I missed the back of her leotard. Oops!

Aren't sunny days the best after a long winter? Regular vinegar can help take the "sting" out of a sun burn, just apply it with a cotton ball. (In case you didn't know)
So...you can't stay hidden for long! I saw your link and had to check it out! Yes, it really is beautiful up here when it's sunny and you've got to get outside and enjoy it!
How's the sunburn doing?
