Mini-Caramel Apples

This recipe was too fun to post as the tested recipe of the week...it deserves its own post. I thought I might fill you in on my new favorite party treat.

I came across this in the family fun magazine and thought I might try it if I was brave. Usually the dipping, rolling and melting recipes tend to be a lot of work and never turn out quite right but this was a sure-fire winner!!

They are so cute and each apple produces about 10-13 "mini" apples.

Melon-ball a granny smith...

Stab ball with half of a lollipop stick...

Dunk in melted peanut butter chips...

Roll in crushed peanuts, sprinkles or my favorite combo, coconut...

Place in paper candy cups...

Wa-la...mini caramel apples! They really take no time at all and are a real crowd-pleaser.
