We have changed our bed design a little and got rid of all the 45 degree cuts that the first design would have required. This is much more streamline.
On Saturday, we purchased the wood and then started cutting. (Indy even managed to slide his fingers down a drill bit and cut his thumb.)
We were able to get the entire bed made. Tonight we will stain it and cut out the matching night stands with the remaining wood. Two pieces of plywood will lay on the white boards and a cross beam to hold the mattress up. It is almost a platform bed.
Wednesday on Rob's day off, we will varnish. We hope to have it up in our room and put together by next week. It is so heavy and large that it has to be assembled in the bedroom.
