It was time, time for another AAA (Awesome Atwood Activity) and we were inspired by the new hit on television, Wipeout!
We spent way too much time planning out the events and I then proceeded to plan, plan, plan out every detail. We ate corn dogs, nachos, popcorn, mini-caramel apples (look for more on those on a upcoming post), soda and soft pretzels. There was even a movie theater for the kids. We had some good laughs and got a little silly.

Obstacle #1: Slippery Soap-transport 12 bars of soap from one swimming pool to the other in any way possible. (Marisa's strategy is to throw several bars at once as you can see them in mid-air.)
Obstacle #2: Dart Throw-throw the darts, pop three balloons. (Rob aims and throws but this obstacle proved to be great since the needles kept falling off the darts and very few balloons were popped.)
Obstacle #3: Web Maze-maneuver your way through the rope maze to the other side while a sprinkler sprays at you. (Carson is in mid flight as he dives right under the whole thing.)
Obstacle #4: Spikes of Doom-put on hat spiked with screws and proceed to pop one giant water balloon followed by one giant flour filled balloon over your head. (Jason demonstrates how water looks in slow motion after it has exploded from a balloon.)
Obstacle #5: Holey Bucket Fill-fill a vase with water using cups with holes drilled in them. (The cups leaking water wasn't even the hardest part, it was running up and down the hill to get more water.)
Obstacle #6: Shaving Cream Crawl-crawl under ropes on top of a tarp that is covered in water and shaving cream. (Carson crawls his way through the mess of shaving cream.)
Obstacle #7: Airplane Fold-fold a paper airplane and try to land it in the swimming pool. (Brian, covered in shaving cream, attempts to land his plane in the pool.)
Obstacle #8: Mud Search-search for the one rock in a tub of mud that has a star painted on it. Run back and forth washing off the rocks in a tub of water trying to find the one with the star. (Camille searches through the mud.)
Obstacle #9: Coin Puzzle-throughout the course, coins are collected that each have a letter painted on them. The coins are then assembled into a 2-word phrase that has to be completed before your time is stopped. (Rachel collected paper plates instead of coins so that she would have a puzzle of her own.)
Carson Calderwood set the bar as the first person to run the coarse and ended up with the best time of 4 min 24 seconds. He won the beach umbrella and then traded it for the 8-pack of gatorade with Aaron Zappe who came in 2nd place. I won the favored flag competition as we all made a war flag.

I will let the pictures speak for themselves as some of the contestants pose for their final pictures after completing the course. We had a great time.
