Shamburgers

I've been on this silly, subconcious food kick where I for some reason, end up making everything look like something else. First it was miniature caramel apples and yesterday it was these cupcakes made to look like hamburgers. I was taking an FHE treat to some friends and this is what I decided on with a side of my version of a Wendy's Frosty.

Vanilla cupcake, cut into thirds. Keep the top and bottom for the "buns." Take a bite out of the middle section just to make sure it is worthy. (You can see the example on the bottom right cupcake.)

Cut "burgers" out of brownies. Eat all the scraps because you don't want to waste it. Someone's got to do the dirty work.

Color coconut green for the "lettuce" and use red and yellow icing for....well, you know. You could add sliced strawberries for "tomatoes" too.

Add a smear of honey to attach the sesame seeds and you have a shamburger.

Those are soooo adorable! You are so creative, and busy! I will have to make some of these for family night also. My boys would love them.

I make a similar treat. I use rice crispies for the sesame seeds, they stay on and look exactly the same. give it a go.
