All Rob wanted for Father's Day was a rare Katsura tree to add to his Bonsai collection. I happened to find it without a lengthy search on ebay of all places. Two to be exact and he couldn't stop talking about it all day. He was so happy about his Katsura trees. Men and their hobbies.

Apparently it turns yellow and smells like cotton candy in the fall. Can't wait.
I didn't successfully have the kids make something for father's day this year, not feeling the groove for some reason.

He also requested a dinner of salmon, green beans and twice baked pototoes. For dessert he wanted a sundae that he saw served at the Ghiradelli store in San Diego. It was vanilla ice cream topped with an inch of peanut butter sauce and then topped with hot fudge. I added chocolate cake, whipped cream and a couple of toasted marshmallows to completely clog the arteries. I figure, he can do that because he can just go to work and scan himself to find out if he still has a pulse.
The perks of the career choice. Now, if only he had chosen to become a dentist.
